ABOUT
TYLER WALTHERS
Tyler Walthers is a Music Educator and Performer based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he teaches at King Elementary and Music For Everyone. When he’s not in a classroom, Tyler can be found teaching private lessons and strolling the streets of lancaster playing his bagpipes for all to hear.
After moving from New Jersey with his family, Tyler thrust himself into the music scene and was selected to participate in several honors bands over the years such as: NY’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, CA’s Rose Bowl Parade, TX’s Army All American Marching Band, John Philip Sousa’s International honors band, and The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corp.
Tyler receiving his Music Ed. Degree from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and taught for two years before returning back to school to receive his Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2021.
Working with Music For Everyone, MFE, Tyler is able to align himself with others that share the same passion and goal of serving the community though music. By providing musical outlets for all community members to participate in, MFE is bridging the gaps of inequality and embracing diversity. What started out as a few individuals providing students string lessons during school, MFE has evolved into a Summer Music Camp, In School Lessons, After School Music Program, Community Choir and much more!
When free time somehow falls upon him, Tyler enjoys reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons, camping & traveling, and spending time with his 3 roommates from College and their dog Conan.
